深い紫の色漆で木地を染め、拭き漆で艶をあげています。
時間が経つと漆が透けていき、より明るい色味に。
あたたかい陽射し、心を照らす色に仕上げています。

木漆工　真船由佳

使い手の日常に想いを巡らせながら、木地挽きから漆の仕上げまでを手掛ける。拭き漆を中心とした、自然素材の美しさを引き出す技法でうつわ作りを行う。

2021 石川県挽物轆轤技術研修所専門コース卒業
2023 木地工房での修行を経て独立
現在　石川県加賀市山中温泉にて制作

Fukura Cup (Large), Twilight

A work by wood and lacquer artisan Yuka Mabune.

The wood is stained with a deep purple lacquer and finished with fuki-urushi (wiped lacquer) to enhance its luster. As time passes, the lacquer gradually becomes more translucent, revealing brighter tones beneath. The piece is finished in a color inspired by warm sunlight—one that illuminates the heart.

Yuka Mabune

While keeping the daily lives of the users in mind, she personally handles every stage of production, from woodturning to the final lacquer finish. Using techniques centered on fuki-urushi (wiped lacquer), she creates vessels that bring out the inherent beauty of natural materials.

1986 — Born in Tochigi Prefecture
2019 — Began studying under Kazuo Satake, a certified traditional craftsperson
2021 — Graduated from the Specialized Course at the Ishikawa Prefecture Woodturning and Lathe Technology Training Institute
2023 — Became independent after completing an apprenticeship at a woodcraft workshop
Currently creates works in Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture
