石川県能登半島の先端「珠洲」の地に栄え、忽然と姿を消し再び蘇った「珠洲焼」。
かつての製法を受け継ぎ作陶中の作家山田睦美さんの作品です。
珠洲焼は焼締の黒灰色が特徴で、特有のざらっとした手触りに土を感じられる器です。

お茶を楽しむ器としてはもちろん、お酒を注ぐ酒器としてもおすすめです。

Original Japanese Sake pitcher

Suzu-yaki pottery, which once flourished in Suzu at the tip of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, suddenly disappeared and was later revived.

This piece is created by artist Mutsumi Yamada, who continues to work using traditional techniques passed down from the past.

Suzu-yaki is characterized by its unglazed, black-gray finish (yakishime style) and its distinctively rough texture, allowing you to feel the natural quality of the clay.

Not only is it perfect for enjoying tea, but it is also ideal as a sake vessel for serving Japanese sake.
