A work by Mako Yamada, a wood-base and lacquer artist from Yamanaka Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture who creates works while carrying on the traditional techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware. Specializing in precise forms shaped through woodturning and finishes that highlight the texture of lacquer, she creates vessels designed to complement everyday life.
